Flint House - a perfect Somerset retreat

Built in the 1750s, Flint House is a Georgian gem – a grade 2 listed Bath stone house .   It has an interesting and glamorous history - Princess Margaret helicoptered in for house parties.  Agatha Christie was also a regular guest - be inspired in the room she used to stay and write in.

We  renovated the house three years ago and have decorated it using antique French textiles.  Fascinating for anyone interested in old houses as it has many of the original features such as a sweeping staircase, old shutters, original fireplaces, an ancient bread oven,  and the old servants' bells.

The drawing room is yours to relax in.  Light the fire on chilly evenings and play scrabble or watch a film.

Breakfast is served in the kitchen/dining room with a roaring fire in the winter or on the veranda in the summer.

There is a chapel in the garden with weekly Sunday services taken by a charming Downside monk.

We welcome children and have a games room with table tennis, piano, darts etc.
