Flint House - The Gardens

We have been restoring the gardens over the last few years and are very proud of our newly planted herbaceous borders, the orchard, wild garden beyond the tennis court, new herb garden and walled kitchen garden. Our cutting garden boasts abundant roses from June to December – you are welcome to cut a bunch to take home.

Lots of beautiful trees, the most prominent of which is the stately Wellingtonia.  Apparently given to a previous owner of the house by the Duke of Wellington after the Battle of Waterloo.  The Duke gave them in gratitude to his most senior generals and ours was planted with pride in the middle of the lawn.

A beautiful "fort" area is perfect for a lazy glass of wine or to sketch from.  Wisteria and vines offer shade.  The newly surfaced astro tennis court with stunning swagged roses and great views.  The circular lawn is perfect for a game of croquet.
